Recently, I met Charmaine and Geoffrey for their Toronto Island engagement session. We met a few hours before sunset, hoping to catch some beautiful light and a view of the city at dusk. Just before the shoot, Charmaine met with her hair and make up artist to get ready. Having your hair and make up professionally done for your engagement shoot is a great way to prep for wedding day. If you’re like me and not used to wearing very much make up, it will give you a chance to get used to it and also to see how it looks on camera. Not to mention, you will look gorgeous for your engagement session!
After grabbing a few photos on the ferry ride over, we headed for Centre Island Beach and the pier. We spent lots of time walking and exploring the Island, while stopping at picturesque spots along the way. Before the session, Charmaine e-mailed to ask if they could bring an outfit change. I’m so glad she did! There’s always time for a wardrobe change. Her second outfit was a light blue dress, custom made by her aunt with flowing fabric at the back. There was just enough wind to catch the dress’s movement.
Right before we caught the ferry, we set up for one last shot at their Toronto Island engagement shoot. Both Charmaine and Geoffrey wanted a photo with the city skyline. Despite the many many mosquitoes and small audience of ferry goers – we got some very romantic photos! Enjoy.
