Summer backyard Wedding :: Kendra + Amanda
Today I’m excited to share Kendra and Amanda’s gorgeous summer backyard wedding! Kendra is a friend from university, so I was thrilled when she got in touch to ask if I would document their day. It was easy to see the amount of planning and details that went into the wedding, nothing was over looked. Handmade paper flowers, pastel pennants and pin wheels adorned the picnic tables and tents – each one crafted by the brides. In place of a cake, guests enjoyed one of the bride’s favourite summer treats – Mia gelato in cones and cups…so good!
From the blankets and pillows on the lawn, to picnic tables and board games, Kendra and Amanda created many comfy spaces and activities for their guests to enjoy together. The relaxing and cozy atmosphere was full of games, live music by Jeff Callery and John Wilberfore, and possibly the longest Texas horseshoe tournament I’ve seen!
From the bride:
“I would say that our favourite part about the day was having everyone come together and have a great time. It was amazing to have so many photos of everyone smiling and getting to know one another. We loved that everyone there from our officiant to our servers to our band to our guests and their plus-ones were all people that we knew so we didn’t have any unknown faces during our ceremony and party. We spent months working on the decorations and hand made details and the appetizer menu and getting everything planned so that things would go smoothly on the day which I think worked out well. We have had so much feedback from people that they had a great time which we truly love.” – Kendra
